Mission/Vision of Parrish United Methodist Church

Greetings In The Name Of The Risen Lord,

This is an exciting time in the life of our church! God is moving in so many ways and in so many hearts. I am blown away every time I hear how God is doing extraordinary things in the lives of ordinary people.

We have an incredible team of leaders at our church and I am privileged to be the pastor here. God has moved in the heart of our leadership through worship, bible study, prayer, fellowship and leadership retreats and planning meetings.

Because of the life-changing power of Jesus Christ so many here have given so much to the ministry God has inspired at Parrish United Methodist Church for many years. Others have recently become a part of what God has been doing here and want to be even more involved. Others are still deciding. Wherever you are on that scale, know that God has begun a good work in you and He will see it through to its completion. (Phil. 1:3-6) We want to encourage you in that process.

I want to be sure you know what God has put on our hearts to do, to become and how to get there.

Reading the Scriptures, considering our church’s tradition, recalling the experiences we have had with Jesus over the years, and using our reason, God has revealed to the leaders of this church it’s Mission, Vision and Core Values.

The Mission of our church is our basic purpose for existence. The mission is the main thing God is calling us to do as a church.

Our Church's Mission is:

Connecting People With The Life-Changing Power Of Jesus Christ.
Acts 2:42-47, Philippians 2:1-5

Vision is a clear mental picture of where we are going and what we are to become. It defines God’s preferred future for our church.

Our Church’s Vision is:

To Become A Biblical Community of Believers Who Do Whatever It Takes to Connect People With The Life-Changing Power Of Jesus Christ.
Acts 4:32-33
